Description:
Peavey ValveKing® amps feature a patented, variable Class A-A/B control called Texture, which allows sweepable selection between Class A and Class A/B power structures, as well as any combination of the two. With this feature, guitarists can coax virtually any tone from this tweaked-out amplifier. The amp's preamp and power sections use 12AX7 and 6L6GC tubes, respectively. Additional standard features include two footswitchable channels with independent, three-band EQ and volume, plus a footswitchable gain/volume boost on the lead channel to provide extra volume for solos. ValveKing amps also feature global resonance, presence and reverb controls, a buffered effects loop and dual speaker jacks in parallel (head and 212 only). |

Great tube head for the price! Sounds as good as any tube Marshall head.

Great Amp Head. To Bad Peavey does not include the foot switch! I guess they expect you to switch channels by Telepathy!

This doesn't match up to high end amps no matter what some people say, if you buy a Engl Savage 120, the VK will get blown away, but then again your paying over 2k for it. This does not mean I dislike this amp, it has a great crunch tone, the clean is smooth, and both respond nicely to effects, and LOUD, on stage the rest of the band complains if I turn it over 1 1/2. There is very little "bad" to say about this amp, the only thing I can think of is the gain gets a little loose at higher levels, easily remedied by the gain sounding good at about 5 or 6. Definitly can't lose for the price.

Online store pricing may vary from our in-store pricing. Prices at our Peavey store magnet site are controlled by Peavey. Peavey online store prices are presuming a lack of salesperson service, may include freight charges that are not charged on in-store sales, etc. There are cases also, that in store prices may be lower than the advertised price posted by Peavey on the mag.net store.
The choice is yours. Prices will be fair either way, although possibly different. You can serve yourself at the online store at any time of day or night. The products you choose will be shipped direct to your door. You may also choose to come into PMC for the personal service that many customers would prefer. If you are visiting our online Peavey music store from an area of the U.S. that does not have a music retailer, PMC would love to serve your musical needs through our Peavey mag.net online store.
