I love it ! It sounds so good and gets very loud and clean. Or it can get very blues dirty. One of the best amps Ive had. And looks cool too.

Sweet reverb. Very loud. Very portable. Channel switching is great. Acoustic guitar even sounds good through it.

Really a great amp for the price. Good guitar voice. Using a closed back cabinet really refines the overall tone. A bit of white noise at idle, but not sure if this is isolated to my amp. Using Duncan pickups, celestion speakers, Keeley Katana boost and this amp will destroy Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Fender. At 30 watts, you finally get to play your amp at a level that is perfect for natual tube breakup. High volume amps are a thing of the past. Hands down best amp for the money.

This is a really good amp. I've owned 3 of them at different times in the past and Iam now thinking about buying one again. The clean side of this amps channel is truly 5 star, thick, rich, bouncing, bubbley and completely detailed tone and playability. In playing situations where there are no volume restrictions, the clean side of this amp alone are great for awsome and inspiring crunchy rythm tones and playability, as well as stinging blues lines when cranked at 3 o'clock or more. It not only handles, but enhances your favorite overdrive pedals greatly. The drive side of this amp's channel is really good, but has always been a a controversy for me with this amp. First let me say the drive of this amp sounds and feels really good at the lowest of volumes and only gets better and more lively the harder and louder you push it. The 12" marvel speaker is totally competent to handle this amp wide open, it never becomes muddy, flabby, farty ie. pushed to it's max, but somehow always possesses the qualities of good feel and tone of being really pushed right up to it's point. While the drive of this amp does respond to player input alot actually, it also has the nature of giving you it's somewhat narrow variable of tone regardless of how you play. Which is a really good and playable tone, but hence my personal conflict with it. I once read an interview with John Mayer, where he stated that he went to 2rock amps because they gave him a good tone without him having to dictate it so much and that allowed him to just focus on what he was playing as opposed to how he was playing it. That's kind of how the drive on a classic 30 is and thats a good thing no doubt about it, but it can be limiting and at some point leave you wanting more/or unsatisfied. I own a few amps for different tonal variety and playability, but I still judge every amp on an overall basis and that's how I'm basing my opinion on the classic 30 as well, that's why I give it a 4 star rating as opposed to a 5. As for playing live I think it's one of the most reliable and consistant sounding amps I've known or even heard of at any price, a true workhorse of a player's amp. It's a very good sounding and totally comfortable amp to play through, play the notes you know through it and they'll sound good, even great, will the classic 30 have you lost in time playing notes in ways you don't already know just because they sound and feel great... (like playing with my silvertone 1482), probably not. But that's not to say it's not a great amp because it is, it's a great practice and gigging amp, that greater higher place I was speaking of before with you and an amp are pretty much exclusive experiences when you're by yourself just playing for your own enjoyment or recording. Great amp, buy one, I believe they'll be one of the amps still around 40 or so years from now still sounding good and still working! Like my two silvertones.
