Description:
Classic style, classic tone and modern versatility. If the blues is your way of life, this is your amp. 30 classic all-tube watts are way louder than solid state and modern flexibility comes from a tremolo with speed and intensity controls, pre-and post-gain controls on the lead channel, 3-band passive EQ, a boost switch, external speaker jack, and an effects loop. Jamming or gigging, this baby can hold down your end of the sound. |

You can't beat it for the money! The only combo I like better is the Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special and it's over $1500.00! I replaced all the tubes with Mesa/Sovtek tubes. I also put a 12AT7 in what I think is the phase inverter stage (3rd from the right if you're behind the amp). Sounds wonderful! I'll try JJ's next.

PHAT TONE
says...
On one of the gigs I just recently did a guy came up to me to complement my playing and tone so I said thanks! He went on to ask me what pedals I'm using and what kind of amp. I went on to say Peavey Classic 30 1x15,guitar cable and electric guitar, also the footswicht to switch from clean to drive/distortion. He was very suprised by the big distortion I was getting as well as the chimmey clean tone. He insisted on seeing my equiptment,so I dragged him on stage. His jaws dropped and eye's wide open. he could not believe it was what I just said to him,Classic 30 1x15,cable,and electric guitar. oh yeah! this amp just about does everything except metal. get the 6505 series if you want metal.
