Description:
The Generation Custom EX, Generation Vintage EX, Generation Triple/Single EX and Generation EX guitars further refine the artistry of this renowned line with vintage-wound pickups and vintage tuning keys, alder body, maple necks and rosewood fingerboards. Vintage-wound Peavey pickups add tonal balance and a vintage flair to both clean and distorted tones, while the ACM circuitry replicates an acoustic guitar's tone and resonance through a patented analog process. The vintage pickup and ACM tones can be blended by the 360-degree, fully adjustable knob control for a hybrid tone. The traditional pickups can be adjusted via volume and tone controls and toggle-style selector switches. |

Did not know that Peavey made such a nice tele style guitar. The tone of this traditional two pup guitar is awesome, full, musical, and can be rock whomping to tele ringing. Really looks, feels, plays, and sounds super good. New strings were like rekindled flames in the dragon's throat. Beautiful wook finished varnished in antique burst shows beautiful tight grain. Very fun to play and pleasing to the ear thru Fender SCXD. Totally different tone from my also excellent Squire Std Tele also '07. Excells at blues. It seems like only a small club knows about this excellent tele option. Glad I'm one of them. Price matched another store and got it at my local store for 149 US, new. Now I want a Fender mexican std strat for probably 250 used or 400 new. Found a like new metallic red one for 250; or the new Squire Deluxe strat if I can ever play it.
This Generation Ex fills a valuable tonal area that even my Squire std tele does not cover. This tele is an excellent asset to my guitar arsenal of sound. Email me at mjbolduc@dejazzd.com for further info or questions.
