Updated technology gives the new Peavey SP® 2 better performance, sound dispersion and lighter weight at an unbelievably low price. This rugged and dependable two-way enclosure uses a 15 inch Peavey Black Widow® speaker that will handle up to 2000 watts of peak power and has a field-replaceable basket for quick, easy repair. The upper-mid and high frequencies are handled by the RX™22 titanium driver that is ferrofluid cooled for maximum tweeter performance. Peavey's exclusive Quadratic Throat Waveguide™ technology actually reduces horn distortion and aims sound directly at the audience, not over their heads. Rugged 9-ply baltic birch construction, utilizing extensive internal bracing, produces tighter bass response while significantly reducing the cabinet weight. To make connecting even easier, Peavey includes a standard 1/4 inch jack and an exclusive Neutrik® Speakon® input that makes bi-amping plug and play simple. Finished in durable thick black carpeting with two heavy-duty handles and a stand mount, the SP® 2 is perfect for a variety of applications. |

I like this new design, i already own one set of sp 2 from 2000 model, there just unbeleivable performance anywhere i,ve used them. this new design is on my list of purchase, and i will have a set of these very shortly, and i can't wait to try them.

I got a set of these SP2 and they are a bomb in outdoor performance. With high pitch and clear sound output, it's just amazing the range it covers. I love it.

When i went in to the music shop to buy new speakers i had a different brand picked out. They played them for me and i did not like the sound. I then had the sales man play all the different speakers he had in stock. When he hooked up the SP-2 i was immediatly impressed. I have used these speakers for close to two years now. The power and the clear sound + low cost makes these one of the best portable speakers on the market. If you are a Dj looking for a grade A speaker this is it. I am now looking forward to changing all my system over to PV.
PS: Their amps are also Good!!
