RETURN POLICY
Return Policy
First and foremost we want you to be happy and satisfied with every purchase you make. After all, it is why we are here. It's a simple idea instilled in us by our company's founders, Chuck and Marge Levin. We started as a true 'Mom and Pop' operation, and the store still is Family owned and run. Their philosophy, which is still adhered to today, was: "Sell the customer what they need or want at a fair price, and they will come back. If it's not right, make it right".
We don't want to insult your intelligence with the LARGE PRINT, "take it home now, keep it as long as you want, and when you feel like it, return it to us for a full refund", only to find out that the fine print exempted your specific purchase or situation.
Okay, here it is:
1. Regardless of the situations outlined below, the original sales receipt given to you at the time of your purchase MUST accompany ANY return (you knew that one.)
2. You may return any item (exclusions below) within 7 Calendar days of purchase. Any product must be returned (you knew this was coming) in it's original condition, with all the trimmings, box, packaging, manuals, cables, warranty card (PLEASE no signs of use or abuse), you know, the way you got it, in original saleable condition, and we will be happy to give you a full reefu.., refun, okay refund, (the most dreaded word in retail).
3. If you make your return after 7 Calendar days, but within 14 Calendar days, And you have adhered to the same rules as above, you will be given a merchandise credit in the form of a "Chuck's Bucks" card for the purchase price as a merchandise credit to use when you want and on what you want.
4. If you make your return after 15 Calendar days, and before 30 Calendar Days, And you have adhered to the same rules as above, you will be assessed a 15% Re-stocking fee from the total purchase price, and given a "Chuck's Bucks" card for the remainder as a merchandise credit to use when you want and on what you want.
5. Orders that were shipped to you will adhere to the same policies outlined above, except that the time periods will start when the merchandise has been delivered to you. Shipping charges will NOT be refunded.
6. New items that are being returned for problems/defects fall under the manufacturer's warranty, and the return will be handled under the guidelines set forth by the manufacturer.
OK, here come the Exclusions:
1. Regardless of the time period, if your return is missing the box, manuals, remote, has been modified in any way, or the merchandise shows signs of use (i.e., rack screw scratches, general scratches on the item, etc.) we reserve the right to adjust the amount of the re-stocking fee or credit that is given, and we will judge each situation individually as it comes.
2. Purchases made as gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, special events, or Holidays must be noted at the time of purchase with the date of the event, so that the proper adjustments to the return time period can be made.
3. The things for various health/usage/licensing/piracy issues that cannot be returned regardless of the situation are as follows:
Opened Software
Books
Power Supplies
Video Tapes
CDs
DVDs
Strings
Harmonicas
Mouthpieces
Reeds
Cartridges
In-ear monitors
Headphones
Bulbs
Vacuum tubes
Raw speakers
Microphones (you know you didn't buy it with lipstick on it)
Special order items
Layaway Deposits
Any merchandise that is being sold "AS IS".
One last thing: We have put this in writing because it's the right thing to do. If we told you that for years this place was operated out of a cigar box by a man who didn't believe in opening up as many stores as he could have only to find out that the personal touch he had and wanted his employees to have would be lost, you might not believe us, but it is still family owned and operated. If you think your situation is an exception, you are always welcome to ask to see a Levin (yup, there is a Levin here the majority of the time) and make your case personally.
